Jaime May is the man behind code_may. I began building websites in 2009 and quickly found that clients often needed an honest, competent developer to help them out of a jam. The pseudonym “code_may” was born from combining “mayday” (the all too often call for help from clients in need) and “code” because I used code to help those clients. And the tie-in with my last name just made it the perfect fit.
Ever since I have been building websites, fixing websites, working on teams to design and develop websites and software, really any and all web related projects to help people expand and improve their businesses and personal endeavors online.
I’ve been specializing in building custom WordPress websites for over 10 years now, although I’ve also worked with many other platforms. However, sometimes an out-of-the-box platform isn’t enough for a particular client. In those cases I work with the client to design and build a custom platform or software tailored for their specific needs.
My ultimate goal when working with a client to create their website is to determine their specific and exact needs and then design and produce a website that meets or exceeds their expectations.
Our world continues to become more and more reliant on web based platforms. Many of these platforms can be beneficial to businesses, small and large, in marketing, promotion, infrastructure, sales, etc.
I’ve spent the last several years honing my skills at being able to determine the needs of my clients to recommend and setup the right systems for them. Sometimes this requires designing and building custom infrastructure systems. Not only so they can focus more on servicing their clients or selling their products, but also so they can scale their businesses more efficiently and with less overhead.
A Portland Area tax firm reached out needing some help updating their branding and website. I brought in Tim Wright to help them with the rebranding and some web design and we put together this phenomenal upgrade for the online presence.
